We spent most of the weekend cleaning and painting the basement, which needed to be done. Lately, we are trying to make the most of our weekends. Making the most of our weekends consists of us tackling my monster To-Do list. About two weeks ago, I put together this massive cluster of all the things I need/want/insist must be done before the babies come. Some of the items are small, like purchase baby detergent and some of the items are large, like oh I dont know, re-landscape the entire front/side/back yards. So each weekend, Dan and I pull out the list (which I swear Dan keeps trying to hide and I dont blame him one bit) and plan what to complete from it. We are slowly making progress and I am also slowly realizing that in all honesty, there are items that dont have to get done and the babies can still come home.
Other than that, nothing is going on. I did want to thank each of you that offered advice on registering. I really appreciate all the blog comments and emails I received. They gave me some guidance and also confidence in my decisions so thanks!
Hope everyone has a good week!
If it takes my whole life
I won't break, I won't bend
It will all be worth it
Worth it in the end
Cause I can only tell you what I know
That I need you in my life
When the stars have all gone out
You'll still be burning so bright

1. Car seat- We are considering the Britax Marathon for our convertible car seat
2. Stroller- Most people wont be able to help but we want one that accepts two infant seats, looking at the Kolcraft Contours or the Graco Duo-glider
3. Bottles- I plan to BF but also want to pump and use bottles. I have no idea on this category
And then is there any "Must Have" items? Any items that are a total waste of money?
I really, really appreciate everyones' opinions. These are the items I am kinda stuck on, so I could use some help.
I also heard this poem on the radio the other day and I liked it. It was written by a Confederate soldier and, to me, it gives a different perspective to take when God doesn't answer our prayer exactly how we desire. I don't know, I just liked it and wanted to share:
The Blessing of Unanswered Prayers
I asked for strength that I might achieve;
I was made weak that I might learn humbly to obey.
I asked for health that I might do greater things;
I was given infirmity that I might do better things.
I asked for riches that I might be happy;
I was given poverty that I might be wise.
I asked for power that I might have the praise of men;
I was given weakness that I might feel the need of God.
I asked for all things that I might enjoy life;
I was given life that I might enjoy all things.
I got nothing that I had asked for,
but eveything that I had hoped for.
Almost despite myself my unspoken prayers were answered;
I am, among all men, most richly blessed.

The exhaustion, on the other hand, hasnt gone away. I am able to stay up later than I did in first trimester but I joke that the twins are sucking the life out of me. Its ok, though, I will take the exhaustion over the nausea any day.
I do have a new belly picture for my 16th week and from here on out, I will just do monthly pictures. I think its funny that I did weekly pictures for awhile, I guess I was just so excited! Here it is:
This week will be fun, baby-wise. I am going to BRU with my sister, mom and grandma so we can check out all the items I might want to register for. I honestly have only been to BRU a handful of times and aside from what I have read in Baby Bargains and heard from friends, I dont know much about baby stuff so it should be informative and fun. Dan and I will register the day we find out the sexes of the babies and I hope to be armed with a pretty detailed list when we go in there so I dont get overwhelmed.
Finally, RIP to my parent's oldest dog Amber. They had to put her down this past Friday and she will be deeply missed.
I hope everyone has a good week!
How far along: 16w4d
Total weight gain/loss: Up 4 lbs
Sleep: I was sad to read in WTEWYE that I should no longer be on my back (as of week 14, oops) so I am trying to sleep on my side more. The jury is still out on if I like it or not- every time I wake up, I have returned to my back.
Best moment this week: Feeling what I think could be baby flutters. Very light, but noticable.
Food cravings: Raspberry Seltzer Water, Honey Bunches of Oats
Have you bought any baby stuff: Still nothing. At this point, we are waiting until the big ultrasound.
What I miss: Sleeping through the night without getting up to pee.
What I am looking forward to: Going to BRU with my mom, grandma and sis
Wisdom: Dont take to heart every piece of advice people give you on being pregnant, registering, birth, etc. Always remember, its only one person's opinion.
Lord let me shine, shine like the moon
A reflection of You in all that I do
Lord let me be a light for Your truth
Light of the world, I wanna be used to shine for You

I really think Im in my last couple of weeks of regular pants and will need to get some maternity pants soon. I just hate shopping for pants. I have a long inseam and nothing seems to fit me correctly. Hopefully I can find something that works.
Here is my belly pic:
In other exciting baby news, we scheduled our BIG Ultrasound for August 4th. In preparation, I have added a new "clicky feature" to the right of my blog. If you'd like, you can click on it, and make your sex (and arrival date/weights) predictions. Make sure to select sexes for both Baby A and Baby B. Just so you know, I already voted and selected two boys. I have had the boy feeling all along so I went with it!
I actually have several 101 updates (my poor list has been a bit neglected but I am still working on it) but I will save those for an entry later in the week.
Hope everyone is having an awesome week!
