The cutest thing happened today and instead of waiting to post it in my TIDWTFT, I am making a post just for this- it's that cute!

Dan's parents like to show Emma and Josh pictures of me while I am at work. So they say "Point to mama" and Emma and Josh look at the picture and then point to me. (Ok, to be fair, a lot of the times they point to other people too but they are getting better at recognizing me in pictures!)

But when I am actually around and ask them "Where is mama," they always point to a group of pictures on our piano instead of pointing to me. I assume that by now, they know I am their mama but I want them to point to me, darn it! So today, when they pointed to the pictures instead of me I said "No, I am mama" and I tapped my chest to point to myself. And then the cutest thing happened... They both tapped their chest, right by their heart, and said "Mama"

Mama in their heart. That's a heck of a lot better than Mama on top of the piano, I'll take it!

Leaving 119/365

Josh and Emma get so, so excited when you tell them its time to go outside. They say "ow-sigh" and then scramble out the door to play.

I was off of work 3 days this week which gave me much needed time with Emma and Josh, we had a nice time together!

1. They are both still really into reading. When you read to them, they are constantly pointing stuff out. Or if they don't know what the item is, they point to it and say "Eh?" They also fight to sit in our lap when we read to them. I try to put them each on my lap but they end up pushing one another off. Not much for sharing!

2. They both really enjoy eating. They can eat a banana or an orange about as fast as I can. They also really love waffles and peas right now.

1. I must have said something was "cool" this week because now Emma keeps saying "Coo!" And its funny if you ask her "Emma, is this dolly cool?" She sometimes doesn't even look at it but just says "Coo" So cute!

1. He loves to give people stuff. He is constantly giving us things he picks up or his cups and toys. But the cutest thing is that he will pick up Emma's doll and give it to her. So sweet!

Hop, Hop, Not? 117/365

Emma and Josh each have a pair of bunny ears. About a month ago, I started putting the ears on them and taught them to "hop, hop, hop" Every time they saw the ears, they would say "op, op, op" Except on Easter. Emma would not even wear them and Josh kept taking them off. I don't think either of them would say "op, op" at all, go figure!

We had a nice Easter. For the third year in a row, we had my family and Dan's family over to our house. Last year, Emma and Josh were so small and things were a lot harder. This year, it was easier. They were able to play, open up Easter baskets and sit at the table at eat dinner with us, it was a lot of fun! I hope everyone had a good Easter. Here are some pictures from the day.

"Well I know my Redeemer lives
I know my Redeemer lives
All of creation testifies
This life within me cries
I know my Redeemer lives"

115-116/365 Easter

Here are some picture's from when Emma and Josh woke up on Easter morning. They each got a pair of pajamas, a couple plates and some books and socks.

I-Pod 114/365

Emma loves to check out Dan's I-Pod Touch. She loves listening to the music and watching pictures scroll, its one of her favorite things to do!

Giving rides 113/365

My parents bought Josh and Emma the cutest Little Tikes mini wagon. The problem is that they love to ride in it but the handle is meant for a child so you have to bend down to pull it. After some coaxing, we got Josh to give Emma a ride up and down the hallway, they both loved it!

"Get in, Emma!"

"And we're off!" (Notice how she has her dolly over her face and Josh looks so determined!)

"We made it to the end. No what?!"

Blankets 112/365

Emma and Josh love to play on blankets. We also found out that they like to "hop" on the blanket by having two people hold each end and then pull the blanket up in the air. Even when the blanket was being pulled in the air, Josh was still trying jump up and down!

1. I am not sure we will be welcome back to the pediatrician's office ever again. We went for their 15 month appointment (albeit a month late...) and they both screamed. From the minute I removed their diapers so that they could be weighed until the minute we left. Like high pitched, hysterical, you-would-think-someone-was-murdering-them screaming. Screamed. Dan and I just laughed because it was so ridiculous.

2. They have said a lot more words this week. I've heard "toe" "door" "deer" oh and Josh's new one is "no, no, no" while shaking his head. I wonder where he gets that...

1. Dan's parents have a picture of George Washington and when you point to it and say "Who is that?" she looks at the picture and says "Gorge" Cutest.thing.ever

2. She measured 33 1/2 inches (95%) and 22lbs 4 oz (50%) She is gaining on Josh!

1. He loves to be chased and he loves when you wrestle him. Sometimes, he will run by you and try to get your attention and if you say "Im going to get you" he squeals with laughter. He also loves when we lay on the floor because he dives right on top of us so that we will wrestle with him.

2. He measured 34 inches (95%) and 23lbs 12 oz (25%) Both of them are so long and lean!

More puffs, please! 111/365

Emma and Josh love puffs. Their new thing is that they like to actually get the puffs (or any other snack) out of the container themselves. My grandparents brought a can of puffs the other day and Emma and Josh ate almost half the container!

Sitting Pretty 110/365

I got this picture of Emma outside the other day. Its a rare one because she is sitting still!

Reading 109/365

I caught this funny picture of Josh reading. Every time he got to the chick with the soft feathers, he would rub the feathers and say "Saaaa, Saaaa" (which I think means "soft?!") but he would say it really loud

Not So Spill-Proof 107 and 108/365

I bought Emma and Josh these "Spill Proof" snack cups. I put snacks in them and tipped them over and sure enough, none came out. I then gave the cups to the kids and forget about it. They figured out how to open one of the flaps with their hands and then shake the cup! And when that didn't work, they just pulled out the snacks and threw them on the floor.

There's something about Emma 106/365

Emma got some food in her hair at dinner and it caused her hair to stick up all funny until she got a bath!

Goodies 105/365

Sometimes when my parents or grandparents come to visit they bring Emma and Josh some Gerber food and snacks. Its such a nice thing for us because then I don't have to buy it and we go through a lot of it! Well Josh loves to look through the bag and check out all the items. It keeps him busy for a few minutes.

Oh man, I had some good posts planned for this week including a product review and then as usual, I got too busy with work to get it done. But this weekend, I plan to do a good couple posts and return some much overdue emails- I promise!

1. They love being outside. Love it. We have had a few warmer days and they stand at the door until we let them out and then cry when its time to come in. And I think I heard both of them say "Outside" but it sounded like "Os-sigh"

1. She has become very affectionate lately and loves to give Josh hugs, hold her baby and pretend to feed it and she even will lay her head on my shoulder. Of course then she seems something and jumps right out of my arms but at least I get a minute of love!

1. I've mentioned how he likes to splash in the bath tub but this week, he went to town! I filled the water up higher than I normally do and he immediately started splashing so much that Emma got upset. So I removed her and then let him splash like a wild man for 10 whole minutes. I shut the glass shower doors, sat down and just watched the show. I couldn't believe how much he splashed!

What's this and this and... 104/365

I looked through my pictures of Emma outside and over half of them were here bent down, checking out something on the ground. They were fascinated by everything outside since its been so long since they were out there.
