TIDWTFT

Emma and Josh like to pull into our driveway during Holiday time. I do a lot of online shopping so they are always looking for a box on the front step.  And if they see one? They demand that I open it immediately so they can play with the packing materials!

Emma:

1.  She likes to bargain with me.  If I tell her "No, you can't have that," she likes to respond with "Well how about one of these?"  or "I will just have a little bit."

Josh:

1. He loves cereal, mostly cheerios.  He has started asking for them instead of eating dinner.  He can also eat 2 or 3 bowls!

Both:

1.  They are true partners in crime.  I catch them pulling chairs over so that the other can climb up and get on my counters.  I hear them plotting to yell so I come and check on them in their room at bedtime.  "Yell like this and mommy will come!"  Oh yeah, we're in trouble!

He's Here!

Santa arrived during a parade in our city tonight and Emma and Josh were super excited! It is cold out so we bundled them up in snow pants, mittens, two pairs of socks and hats (I am not, I repeat not, risking another cold or worse in this weather) and went to the parade.   Their favorite part?  The free donuts and hot cocoa.  They each got their own cup and Emma promptly spilled half of it down the front of her coat. Fun times!

More Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving with Dan and his family yesterday at our house. I made a roast instead of turkey, since all of us ate turkey on Thanksgiving.

We also celebrated Dan's Mom's birthday and his parent's 40th anniversary. Emma and Josh took a late nap so they slept through dinner (which was fine with me, I actually got to eat!) but they were happy to get up and eat some birthday cake.

Thankful

We celebrated Thanksgiving with my family on Thursday. The food was good and it was nice to be with family.   Emma and Josh were...wild.  I have to remind myself every minute of the day that they are not yet 3.  And "it won't be like this for long."  And "I'm going to miss this."  And...you get the idea.  I love them but sometimes I wish they would just relax instead of trying to climb on top of my parent's entertainment center.

Christmas Set Up

We decided to get a jump start on our Christmas decorating today.  I put Emma and Josh into Christmas pajamas, we blared Christmas music and went to town!
