Easter Egg Hunt

We took Emma and Josh to a local Easter Egg Hunt this weekend and they had a great time.  The weather was fairly nice and we were able to get out and enjoy the playground after.  There were so many kids (and some parents too...don't get me started) grabbing eggs that Emma and Josh only got two each but they were both so excited.   Josh kept telling me "I got TWO eggs, mom!   We had a really nice time.

Eggshell Land

Yesterday we took Emma and Josh to see "Eggshell Land" which is a famous display of eggs on the east side of Cleveland. The family has been setting up the display for 55 years and since the husband passed away last year, this is the last time they will do it. Thought it would be a cool thing for Emma and Josh to see for the last time!

This week has been going fast, which is nice! I haven't done an update in a couple weeks and it amazes me how much Emma and Josh are changing and maturing lately. They communicate with us on a more grown up level and they are constantly trying to get their way by bargaining. ("I will brush my teeth if I can have a chocolate cookie!")

1. She is really into cats right now and is always asking to watch cat videos on Youtube.  If she is not watching videos, she is crawling around and purring like a cat. She also told Dan's mom that I was going to buy her a fluffy white cat named "Cheese."

1. Dan's dad recently had knee surgery and Josh has been very interested in talking to him about the surgery.  He is so compassionate and wants to check out his knee.  Josh will also will sit with him for a long time and ask him to tell more stories about his knee and the surgery.  Such a nice boy!

1. They still love to play together but have started arguing more about toys.  They also get mad at one another if the other does not want to play what they want to play.  But overall, they are still best buddies.

Saint Patrick's Day

Now that Emma and Josh are a little older, I have been celebrating each holiday with them because they enjoy it and there is not much else going on in the middle of this cold winter. This morning, I hid 6 clues around the house and told them a leprechaun left them a present that they would find if they followed the clues. I showed them a video of a cartoon leprechaun on the computer and they weren't very interested but they were excited to follow the clues. At the end of the clues, they each got some candy and a funny Saint Patrick's Day headband. I also gave them one of their Christmas gifts that I had hidden away and they were happy with that! Its nice that they are excited about small things.

TIDWTFT pictures only

After a week hiatus from TIDWTFT and the blog in general, I am trying to get back into the swing of things.  No real reason for skipping some posts, just been focusing on other stuff.  But I am back and hope to keep up my regular posts again.  Here are some more outside pictures from our weekend.  It was 45 on Saturday and a whopping 60 degrees on Sunday so we were outside. ALOT.

Hope everyone is having a good week!
