Christmas Day

We had a wonderful Christmas Day. Josh got up at 7 but then stayed in our bed until we woke Emma up at 8. The kids were so excited to see if Santa came and raced down the hall to check out the presents. We relaxed all morning and then went to my parents' house in the early afternoon to open more presents and eat a delicious meal. The coolest part was that Emma and Josh both understand that although presents are great (And Josh asked me a million times if he could open more!) the greatest gift of Christmas is Jesus. It's nice that they are starting to understand!

Christmas Eve

We had a nice Christmas Eve this year. This is the 4th year we have had both of our families over for a couple hours on Christmas Eve. Instead of a big meal, everyone brings an appetizer and then I make some bigger finger foods and we all eat and hang out. The kids wear Christmas pajamas and we try to get them nice and tired so they go to bed early!

Puritas Nursery

We have taken Emma and Josh to a local plant Nursery the past couple years to see their legendary train set up and made time this year to take them right before Christmas. Emma and Josh loved the trains and loved the tunnel they set up under the trains, too!

Emma's Recital

Emma tried dance for another session and she seemed to like it more. She has been asking me to take gymnastics though so we might try that in the spring. At the end of the session, they have a "recital" which is more like a recap of their class. Its still really cute!
